MacGen Power Generation was founded in 1958. A family owned company, MacGen’s main offices are located at a modern 20,000 square foot facility in Kilrea, Northern Ireland. The Company employs a team of fully-qualified personnel to deal with all aspects of the sale and service of its generators worldwide.
MacGen retains in stock a large and varied range of generating sets which together with a comprehensive series of parts and spares to suit, means that the Company is able to meet its customer requirements both quickly and efficiently.
Our generators are manufactured in size from 2.7kVA to 2200kVA and are available as either openskid, supersilenced, or containerised models which all comply with current European generator standards. Automatic Mains Failure systems are available as an option.
We pride ourselves on being able to meet our customers needs whatever the environment or purpose may be.
About Our Generator Range
Our range of generators are provided in a compact and lightweight package, supplying reliable power with low impact designs to suit any application or site. Each generator is fitted with our CEM Electronic controller nd display panel* providing ease of use and optimising your control over the system. In addition, the MacGen waterproof canopy provides full protection for the generator's internal parts and also ensures the highest levels of soundproofing to comply with all current European standards.
All of our generators come with bunded bases incorporating 110% fluid containment and drainage bung, in addition, each of the models in our range are fitted with heavy duty forklift pockets and a central lifting point on top of the set* to maximise mobility and ease installation.
Our generator applications are extensive ranging from supermarkets, hotels and schools to business offices and factories to quarry and waste management services to company hire fleets.

Our range of multi-voltage generators provide a fully-enclosed, super-silent, true-switchless, generating set providing 400V / 230V / 110V simultaneously. Other features include:

PTO Generator Range

A generator is basically an engine and an alternator. If you already have a tractor, you already have a powerful engine ready to be connected to your driveshaft. Your simply missing the alternator to convert the power suppled into electricty.
PTO generators are the perfect solution for portable power on or around a farm. You can operate power tools far from distant utility poles. Plus you can use a manual transfer switch top restore power to a house barn or building during an outage.

Spare parts support is vital to all MacGen’s customers. At our central parts warehouse in Kilrea we stock in excess of 5,000 line items for all the leading engine brands including: FPT Iveco, Hatz, Honda, Mitsubishi, MTU, Perkins, Scania, Volvo and Yanmar.
